Tsoclis talks about his life’s work and nfts

two interviews in greek media

Costas Tsoclis gave two interviews in November 2023, where he talked about his life’s work, his current NFT projects with Nelum, and the opening of the new wing in the Tsoclis Museum in Tinos, Greece.

The first interview was at the weekend edition of the newspaper TA NEA and Mary Adamopoulou. Tsoclis said that he finds it very interesting that his three video installations, Sisyfos, Prometheus, and Oedipus, are transformed into NFTs, because this will allow the dissemination of these works to a world audience. Marios Apergis  said that Nelum’s priority was to maintain the quality of the offered NFTs at a very high level, which was challenging because these works were created with 1980s technology. The NFTs were produced under the personal supervision of Costas Tsoclis.

The second interview was at the radio station ERT Echo and Themis Rodamitis. Chrysanthi Koutsouraki, the director of the Tsoclis Museum, talked about the exhibition of the Living Painting “Us” in Santa Verdiana, Florence, in 2019. Collector Gori, from Fattoria di Celle, said that this was one of the most important works of art in the last 10 years,  whereas the famous art critic Bruno Cora wrote that it was a true masterpiece. The new wing of the Tsoclis Museum will open in 2024 and it will be devoted to the artist’s own works and his Living Painting installations. The first work to be exhibited will be Medea, which is owned by the National Museum of Modern Art (EMST). Marios Apergis from Nelum talked about the global reach that NFTs offer to the works of Tsoclis. Finally, Thanasis Lalas talked about the unique personality of Costas Tsoclis and how he is eternally young and his thought is timeless.
